Comwired Announces New Managed DNS Features

Greetings everyone! I’m Sean Stafford, one of the founders of Comwired. Today is a very big day for us. Our whole team is excited to finally unveil a number of things we’ve been working diligently on for the past 2 months. I have to tell you that I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished in such a short period of time. Our development team has literally been working around the clock for weeks. Their commitment to building a world-class product is completely unshakeable.

We are quickly approaching our four month anniversary since launching Comwired which, when I think about it, is truly amazing. On one side, I can’t believe we have built this level of an application in such a short time, while breathing new life into a technology that had not seen much innovation in years.

The main intent of our private beta was to test our theory that domains need a better solution for DNS management and that DNS geotargeting can generate higher revenue by splitting traffic from one provider to another. We were overwhelmed with the positive response. We originally planned to sign up a few testers with traffic domains so that we could see if our hypothesis was correct. To our surprise, more than 200 domainers and companies have signed up and are testing over 40,000 domains across our multiple environments. We’ve learned a lot and are now launching new features and services based on what our users have asked for as we move into phase II of our mission.

I would like to bring you up to speed on all of the news from this month and last, starting with today.

Front End:

New Website Content - Includes new reference material, online help, FAQs and other important information needed to set up your Comwired account. Eric (our designer) has updated the logo for Comwired as well.

Social Media – You can now follow our development and other industry related news on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Reseller Program – We’ve launched a basic reseller program. Please keep tuned for more info! Contact us at sales (at) comwired.com for more information.

API – Contact me – sean (at) comwired.com or sales (at) comwired.com – to get more information about our powerful new API that allows you to do more with your domain portfolios. Round-robin support managed within the API will be available.

Reports – Graphic rendered maps have been added and more reports are being added every week.

- Upgraded Group Management

- Billing Account Management
